Question:
I want as much time after the game as possible to chat to the Audi sales staff – what is the earliest tee-time I can get?
Answer:
Tee-times will generally run between 11h00 and 13h00, two-tee start. Please detail this request in your RSVP form and we will try to accommodate you.
Question:
What do I need to budget for on the day?
Answer:
All your essential expenses are covered on the day. You may want to allow for your caddie tip and some drinks before the evening function (and some extra golf balls depending on your confidence) The following is provided by Audi of South Africa and your host dealership:-
- Green Fees
- Caddies (or golf carts, depending on the course)
- Welcome refreshments
- Halfway House
- On-course drinks
- Dinner and drinks at the Prize Giving function
- Over R20,000.00 worth of prizes at each event, plus the opportunity to qualify for an expense paid trip to the National Final.
- Tournament Pack includes:-
- 2010 Audi quattro Cup performance golf shirt
- 2010 tournament cap
- Taylormade TP Balls
- Tees, pencils, and selected sponsor giveaways
Question:
I don’t have an official handicap – can I still play?
Answer:
Most definitely, you just won’t qualify to win prizes. However, we’d still love you to attend and will place you in a pairing with another golfer who doesn’t hold an official handicap or a representative from the dealership.
Question:
What time will the evening function start and finish?
Answer:
We aim to start the prize giving at 18h30. This will take approximately 1 hour and will be followed by a buffet dinner.
Question:
I played in the National Final last year and have been invited to the qualifying event again this year – can I still play?
Answer:
Yes, you can win prizes on the day but will not be eligible for this year’s National Final, even with a different partner. For this reason, we will try to pair you with the same partner as last year OR a dealership representative.
Question:
My partner and I won the National Final last year and represented SA at the World
Final –can we play in the qualifying event this year?
Answer:
As above. However, you will not be eligible for the national final again for five years, even with a different partner.
Question:
Can I win an Audi R8?
Answer:
No. The event is run in accordance with the rules laid down by the SAGA. The value of the prizes falls within that allowed for amateur events.
Question:
Can I invite a friend?
Answer:
The guest list is provided by the host dealership and places are limited. You need to liaise directly with the dealership in this regard.
Question:
How long before my tee-time must I be there?
Answer:
Approximately 30 minutes will suffice. You are required to be on the starting tee 10 minutes before your tee-time so allow enough time for registration, changing room and some refreshments before play.
